Ingredients
(Makes 12)
Falafels
2 x 400g can chickpeas
juice of a lemon
1/2 tsp cumin
coriander
1 garlic clove
3 spring onions
1 egg
Tzatziki dip
200g Fromage frais
1/3 cucumber
1 garlic clove
Method
- Add your chickpeas, lemon, cumin, coriander, garlic, spring onions and egg to a food processor and blitz until it forms a paste.
- Shape into 12 falafels and place on a tray in the fridge for 15 minutes.
- Preheat your oven to gas mark 6 (200C/400F).
- Once chilled place your falafels onto a baking tray and place in the centre of the oven for 20 minutes.
- While baking start making your tzatziki dip.
- Chop up the cucumber really small and add to your fromage frais along with the garlic, mixing well.
- The falafels should be done when they are still a little soft, to long in the oven and they become crumbly and they fall apart.
- Remove the falafels from the oven and serve with your dip.
